End of Summer Playlist

Long days, cool evenings, fireflies twinkling high in the trees, and an endless sky filled with stars. These are the sweet days of summer!  According to the internet, August 7 marked the true mid-point of summer, meaning that between now and September 23 when autumn arrives, this beautiful season will wind to a close. And while autumn and winter remain my favorites, I must say that by comparison to previous years, it has been a lovely summer and I'm a little sad to see it go.

My husband and I are taking off Monday afternoon, for a quick overnight trip to the mountains. With that, I thought it might be fun to make up a little playlist for our ride up, and to celebrate the slowly fading days of summer.  Having grown up in the 60's and 70's you'll find that my choices are reflective of that, so if classics aren't your thing, feel free to pass. :). here or by clicking  below. To be honest, I'm not sure if you have to have a Spotify account to listen to it, or not, but at any rate the basic version (with ads), is free.  There's more than an hours worth songs that feature songs related to summer, and some that I chose because they took me back to the summers of my youth. I'm about to head out to the farmers market in just a few minutes to pick up some seasonal bounty while it's still in season!  I think I'll listen to it on the way!
You'll find the playlist,

Until then, friends, savor the shortening days!
